Algorithms and Methodology
Calendar, astronomy, Tarot, storage, and credit rules used by Suanleb.
Last updated:
Bazi
The Bazi module uses lunar-javascript for Gregorian, lunar-calendar, solar-term, and stem-branch conversion. Birth date and time produce the year, month, day, and hour pillars, five-element data, and selected Ten Gods relationships.
Traditions differ on true solar time, the midnight boundary, and luck-cycle calculations. This version presents the base four-pillar structure and does not claim to cover every school.
Vedic astrology
Planetary positions are calculated with astronomy-engine. Geocentric ecliptic positions are converted to sidereal positions using an approximate Lahiri ayanamsha. Reports include the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and the lunar phase angle.
The current version is not a replacement for a professional ephemeris or human consultation.
Tarot
The Tarot module uses a complete 78-card Rider-Waite data set. Each reading draws three non-repeating cards with an upright or reversed orientation and records their meanings. Positions represent past, present, and next step.
Data storage
For signed-in users, inputs, structured results, summaries, reading type, credit usage, and creation time are stored in the database. Users can review their history, and authorized administrators can audit service usage.
Credits
The first reading of each type is free for each account. Later readings cost 10 credits. Successful payments grant credits idempotently by order number so duplicate notifications do not double-credit an account.
Privacy
Avoid entering identity numbers, payment-card details, detailed medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive information in question text. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
